In 2017, Will Borden, a runner and below-the-knee amputee, imagined a road race that would welcome athletes of all abilities and celebrate the power of mobility. The dream became reality in 2018 with the first Bionic5K. In Cambridge MA, amputees and blind athletes raced alongside able-bodied runners. What’s more, members of the mobility-focused robotics and bionics labs at Harvard and M.I.T. joined the community.

This October, join us at Crissy Field for the 2nd annual Bionic Mile with a new 5K option.  Pick a distance and conquer it in whatever way you choose. Run. Walk. Roll. Push a stroller. Push yourself. No matter how you move, the Bionic Mile welcomes you.
